![]() The way you brush is the way it will crackle. Once it is all dry then you can take a dark brown glaze or even a few colors of glaze and push those into the cracks. Don't over work the paint too much or it makes a goopy mess. Stay away from a glaze that says it is a porcelain crackle. The heavier you apply the glaze the larger the cracks. As it dries the glaze reacts with the paint and causes cracks. (Don't make your own.I have tried that and it doesn't work as well) basically what you do is apply the glaze allow it to dry and then add the black paint on top. The contrast will be beautiful with the white cracks showing through the black. You can leave the white underneath and apply the crackle glaze and paint it black. If you are looking for a crackle look you will need to use a crackle glaze.
